|Presidential committee to address university teachers' issues

A presidential investigation committee will soon be appointed to look into the problems of the academics of universities, the Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga said.
The committee is expected to investigate and make recommendations to resolve all the crises in the universities.
The Secretary to the President mooted this idea during a meeting he held with university lecturers Friday. The participants have discussed all the issues the universities are concerned with now in addition to the salary anomaly issue.
Several more rounds of talks will be held in the future.
