President Maithripala Sirisena visited historical sacred city Anuradhapura yesterday (July 29). He joined the national pichcha mal pooja (offering of jasmine flowers) and engaged in religious activities.
The President first engaged in religious activities at the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and then sacred Ruwanweli Maha Seya.
He looked into the well-being of the Chief Incumbent of the Atamasthana Ven. Pallegama Sirinivasa Thero and offered atapirikara.
The President had cordial discussions with the devotees who joined the national pichcha mal pooja.
Mrs. Jayanthi Sirisena was also present at this occasion.
