The Health Ministry has newly recruited 2,738 to the Nurses, Supplementary and Para Medical Service. The handing over of their letters of appointment took place under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at Temple Trees today (March 31).
The recruitments have been made with the intention of further improving a quality health service for the moulding of a healthy Sri Lankan generation. President Maithripala Sirisena handed over the letters of appointment to the new recruits. Thousand five hundred and thirty (1,530) were newly appointed while 1208 appointments were handed over with respect to training. Forty-five (45) letters were presented with regard to promotions.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, State Minister Hassan Ali and Secretary to the Ministry of Health D.M.R.B. Dissanayake were among those present on the occasion.
