President Maithripala Sirisena left the island this (15) afternoon on a four-day state visit to India on the invitation of Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi. The President travelled on a regular scheduled commercial fight, UL-195 to New Delhi.
Minister of External Affairs Mr. Mangala Samaraaweera (will join in New Delhi), Ministers Rajitha Senaratne, Patalie Champika Ranawaka, D.M. Swaminathan, Governor of Easter Province Mr. Austin Fernando, Secretary to the President Mr. P.B. Abeykoon are also accompanying the President during this visit.
