SL- Bangladesh to sign several bilateral agreements
President Maithripala Sirisena who is on a three-day State Visit to Bangladesh will meet the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today (14) in Dhaka.
During this meeting, it is expected to discuss in detail regarding further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries including trade and economic sectors.
Furthermore, the two countries are expected to sign several bilateral agreements in the fields of agriculture, education, training of diplomats and Immigration & Emigration.
Meanwhile, President Maithripala Sirisena also attended in a special business meeting held in Dhaka, as the Chief Guest. It was organized to celebrate the two year completion of the operation of the Laughs Gas Company in Bangladesh.
The Chairman of Laugfs Holdings Limited W. K. H. Wegapitiya has organized this meeting and the Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake delivered a special lecture on investments and business opportunities in Sri Lanka.
A high level delegation including Bangladesh State Minister of Power and Energy, State Minister of Foreign Affairs and State Minister of Information Technology participated in this meeting.
