The presidential commission appointed to look into the issues pertaining to Sri Lanka Air lines has presented its report containing recommendations and proposals to President Maithripala Sirisena this afternoon (January 28) at the Presidential Secretariat.
Chairman of the committee, State minister Eran Wickramarathne was appointed by the president on 7th January 2019.
The Committee report made recommendations regarding Auctioning or Re-establishment of the Institute, management Agreement, Re-scheduling the loans. State Minister Wickramarathne pointed out that special emphasized special attention should drawn towards re – scheduling of loans and capital re generation.
Identifications of and independent board of directors and Administration, reforming the Enterprise module, re – structuring of human resources, establishment of an independent Auditing Mechanism, cooperating in Brand promotion the committee has recommended that attention should be focused on the above proposals.
While the Chairperson State Minister Eran Wickramarathne presented the report to the president, non – Cabinet Minister Dr Harsha de Silva and other members of the committee were present on this occasion.
President expressed his thanks to the members of the committee for fulfilling their tasks within the time frame given.
