water sports and leisure park |

“It
is the onus of the government to help the local entrepreneurs
launch industries,” President Rajapaksa said yesterday
as he declared opened the country’s first ever
leisure park in Kaluaggala, 43 kilometers from Colombo.

President to address LG candidates
today |

|
President Mahinda Rajapaksa
will brief all UPFA candidates for the forthcoming local
government elections 2006 to be held this month. All
UPFA constituent party leaders, senior cabinet ministers,
all elected representatives and party organizers have
been invited to the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium this
morning for the briefing.
