Mahinda Rajapaksa today handed over four certificates
to the Ceylon Royal Tea (Private) Limited, a company
established seven years ago at the Katuwana industrial
estate, Homagama, for earning four important international
Quality Certifications – BRC Global Standard Food,
HACCP Codex Alimentarius, ISO 22000 – 2005 and
ISO 9001 – 2000.
At the event held at
Temple Trees the President said that these certificates
bring honour to Sri Lanka and the performance of the
company is an example to other local entrepreneurs.

development and Investment Promotion Minister Rohitha
Bogollagama said that a special program has been prepared
under the Mahinda Chintana policy framework to provide
incentives to exporters.
Managing Director, Ceylon Royal Tea
(Private) Limited Jaliya Wickremasuriya said his company
has been marketing value added tea to the North American,
Japanese and French markets where Sri Lankan tea was
not a favourite beverage. He attributed the success
of the company to its aggressive marketing strategy
of promoting tea as a natural health drink to health-conscious
consumers. |
