Minister, Shri P. Chidambaram this morning called on
President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees for discussions.
The
discussion centered on common facts to both countries
in the monetary and economic sectors. The Indian Finance
Minister is currently in the island to attend the 2006
Commonwealth Finance Ministers’ Summit, which
started yesterday.
Indian
High Commission Nirupama Rao and Secretary to the Ministry
of Finance P. B. Jayasundera also participated in the
discussions.
