Lanka continuously and steadfastly supports the One
China Policy, said President Mahinda Rajapaksa speaking
at a special Cultural Show in Beijing, yesterday (Feb
28) to mark 50 years of diplomatic relations between
Sri Lanka and the People's Republic of China.
President
Rajapaksa referred to the centuries old friendly relations
between Sri Lanka and China and paid a special tribute
to the PRC for its unstinted support for the sovereignty
and territorial integrity of Sri Lanka. He also thanked
China for its generous assistance to the development
efforts of Sri Lanka.
