The President and Commerce Minister emphasized the need to build a healthy relationship in the field of commerce and trade between the two nations. During this meeting, discussions were held to promote the naval relationship between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The discussions focused on further strengthening Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries.
The Pakistan Minister of Commerce pointed out that the opening of branches of Pakistan Banks in Sri Lanka and the introduction of telecommunication facilities to Sri Lanka may further strengthen the economic ties between the two countries.
