Two students with visual disability were presented with two special laptops and monetary aid for their education by President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s office today(29).

The President visited Madurakuliya in Puttalam district on July 13th last year to participate in the Grama Shakthi Wayamba province committee meeting. There, these two students presented their request to the President.

Responding to their request, the President presented two special laptops which has a user free software for the people with visual disabilities to the students and presented Rs. one million per student for their future education.

The two students, Warnakulasooriya Saduni Peshala and Rukshani Mekala received their basic education from Mundalama Sinhala Maha Vidylalya and passing the G.C.E. Advanced level examination has entered the Faculty of Humanities of University of Colombo, where they continue their studies.
